Jonah and The Gaint Fish

God told Jonah to, "Get up and go preach to the city of Nineveh." Because they're were being bad. Jonah didn't want to do what God was telling him to do so he got on a boat to leave. God knew what Jonah was doing. God knew what Jonah was doing. God sent a big storm to rock the boat. All the sailors were praying to they're gods but Jonah had fallen asleep. The boat's captain found Jonah and told him to pray to God. Jonah knew that the only way to stop the storm was to throw himself off the boat. Jonah told the other sailors and they threw him into the ocean. The storm stopped! But, a big fish was swimming in the ocean and it ate Jonah! Jonah was stuck inside the big fish for three days and three nights. While he was in the fish Jonah realized that he had to go preach to Nineveh. So, God told the fish to spit Jonah out. And off Jonah went to do what God had told him to do.

Blessed are the pure in heart, because they will see God. -Matthew 5:8
__________________________________________

WHat is your focus today? Are you willing to focus your thoughts on the countless blessings that God has given you? Before you answer that question, consider this: the direction of your thoughts will derermine, to a surprising extent, the direction of your day and your life.

This day- and every day hereafter-is a chance to celebrate the life that God has given you. It's a chance to colobrate your relatioinships, your talents, and your opportunities. So focus your thoughtsupon the figt of life-and upon the blessings that surround you.

You're a beautiful creation of God, a being of infinite importance. Give thanks for your gifts and share them. Never have the needs-or the opportunities for service-been greater.

The things we think are the things that feed our souls. If we think on pure and lovely things, we shall grow pure and lovely like them; and the converse is equally true. -Hannah Whitall Smith

Your Partnership With God

Day 4

For it is God who is working among you both the willing and the working for His good purpose. -Philippians 2:13
_______________________________

Do you seek a life of purpose, abundance, and fullfillment? If so, then you must form a partnership with God.

You are God's work in progress. God wants to mold your heart and guide your path, but because he created you of a creature of free will, He will not force you to become His. That choice is yours along, and it is a choice that should be reflected in every decision you make and every step you take.

Today, as you encounter the chalenges of eveyday life, strengthen your partnership with God through prayer, through obedience, throughh praise, through thaaanksgiving, and through service. God is the ultimate partner, and He wants to be your patner in every aspect of your life. Please don't turn Him down.

---------------------------------

No matter what we are going through, no matter how long the waiting answers, of one thing we may be sure. God is faithful. He keeps His promises. What he starts, He finishes...including His perfect work un us.

SHE NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS!

There was a girl and her and her family on their way back home from the lake and she was riding in the boat on a tube as they were going down the road. At some point going down the road they passed a semi and the wind from it going by blew her out. She has cracked her skull. I don't know how bad her skull is craked though. She needs our prayers.

Jumpstarting Your Day

Day 3

Therefore, get your minds ready for action, being selfdisciplined, and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. -1 Peter 1:13
_____________________________________

Are you willing to spend a fewminutes every day with God? And are youwilling to jumpstart your day be spending a few quiet moments studying God's Word, or are you too busy for that? The answer, of course, is that you can find tome for God...and you should.

Scottish-born evengelist Henry Drummond correctly observed, "Ten minutes spent in Christ's company every day-even two minutes-will make the wholeday different." How true. If you dedicate even a few minutes each morning to a time of devotional reading and prayer, you will change the tone and derection of your day.

Are you seeking to change some aspect of your life? Do you speek to improve the codition of yur spiritual or physical health? Do you desire the peace that can be yours through Christ? If so, ask for God's help and ask for it many times each day...starting with a regular morning downloading of God's wisdom, God's widsom,God's truth, and God's love.

Using God's Gifts

Day 2

Based on the gifts they have recieved, everyone should use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God. -1 Peter 4:10
______________________________________

The gifts that you posses are gifts from the Giver of all things good. Do you have a spiritua; gift? Share it. Do you have a testimony about the things that Christ has done for you? Don't leave your sroey untold. Do you posses financial resources? Share them. (i will post how you can share your story) Do you have particular talents? Hone your skills and use them for God's glory.

When you hoard the treasures that God has given you, you live in rebellion against Hs commandments. But, when you obey God by sharing his gifts freely and with out fanfare, you invite him to bless you more and more. Today, be a faithful steward of your talents and treasures. And then prepare yourself for even greater blessings that are sure to come.
