Jonah and The Gaint Fish
God told Jonah to, "Get up and go preach to the city of Nineveh." Because they're were being bad. Jonah didn't want to do what God was telling him to do so he got on a boat to leave. God knew what Jonah was doing. God knew what Jonah was doing. God sent a big storm to rock the boat. All the sailors were praying to they're gods but Jonah had fallen asleep. The boat's captain found Jonah and told him to pray to God. Jonah knew that the only way to stop the storm was to throw himself off the boat. Jonah told the other sailors and they threw him into the ocean. The storm stopped! But, a big fish was swimming in the ocean and it ate Jonah! Jonah was stuck inside the big fish for three days and three nights. While he was in the fish Jonah realized that he had to go preach to Nineveh. So, God told the fish to spit Jonah out. And off Jonah went to do what God had told him to do.

Your Partnership With God
Day 4
For it is God who is working among you both the willing and the working for His good purpose. -Philippians 2:13
_______________________________
Do you seek a life of purpose, abundance, and fullfillment? If so, then you must form a partnership with God.
You are God's work in progress. God wants to mold your heart and guide your path, but because he created you of a creature of free will, He will not force you to become His. That choice is yours along, and it is a choice that should be reflected in every decision you make and every step you take.
Today, as you encounter the chalenges of eveyday life, strengthen your partnership with God through prayer, through obedience, throughh praise, through thaaanksgiving, and through service. God is the ultimate partner, and He wants to be your patner in every aspect of your life. Please don't turn Him down.
---------------------------------
No matter what we are going through, no matter how long the waiting answers, of one thing we may be sure. God is faithful. He keeps His promises. What he starts, He finishes...including His perfect work un us.

SHE NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS!
There was a girl and her and her family on their way back home from the lake and she was riding in the boat on a tube as they were going down the road. At some point going down the road they passed a semi and the wind from it going by blew her out. She has cracked her skull. I don't know how bad her skull is craked though. She needs our prayers.

Using God's Gifts
Day 2
Based on the gifts they have recieved, everyone should use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God. -1 Peter 4:10
______________________________________
The gifts that you posses are gifts from the Giver of all things good. Do you have a spiritua; gift? Share it. Do you have a testimony about the things that Christ has done for you? Don't leave your sroey untold. Do you posses financial resources? Share them. (i will post how you can share your story) Do you have particular talents? Hone your skills and use them for God's glory.
When you hoard the treasures that God has given you, you live in rebellion against Hs commandments. But, when you obey God by sharing his gifts freely and with out fanfare, you invite him to bless you more and more. Today, be a faithful steward of your talents and treasures. And then prepare yourself for even greater blessings that are sure to come.

Blessed: Balanced and Blooming
Day 3
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. -Hebrews 10:23-24

God's garden is sprouting and growing! No one watched as he plannes and prepared to plant, but the results will soon be visible for all to see.
Garddeners spend a great deal of time figuting out what the garden will look like as summer deepens Will it be formal ond orderly, or will it appear more casual, with swooping curves and irregular clumbs? Which plants should go where to provide the right balance of height? What plants will fill the farden with color during the growing season, each blloming ar a different time? And how might some features be arranged to attract butterblies and bees?
Choosing what to plant is a bit like putting friends together. Can you point to friends who have help you blossom, grow, and flourish? These friends may differ from you in many ways, but your friendships fit tofether to create an artful masterpiece.
yet, the opposite can also be true. It might look wonderful to plant flowers aroung the base of that large, mature tree you've alwaus loved, but the intense comperirion for moisture and nutrients can keep the flowers from blooming to their full potential. Did you know that placing plants too close together can actually stop some of them from growing?
Who in your circle of friends provides o sense of balance and helps you thrive? Who complements you as a companion-not overwhelming you, nut supporting you? Who is there to losten, to care, and to protect? On the other end of the spectrum, is there someone who is actually attracting the pests and introducing spiritual diseases that will stunt your growth or threaten to destroy you?
Take heart as you reread Hebrews 10:23-24. Then ask Jesus to bring into you life the kinds of companionship that will sput you on to "love and to good works."
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, make me an encourager to others, even as you wncourage me through others. Amen.

Blessed: Preprared to Plant
Day 2
That Christ may dewell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend withall saintswhat is the breadth, and lengt, and depth, and height. -Ephesians 3:17-18
________________________________________
God has chosen just the right spot in which to plant you. And you may be sure that he has carefully prepared the soil.
Good gardeners know the secret to growing healthy plants is having healthy soil-soil that allows roots to reachdeep to absorb the wate and nutrients that allow plants to thrive.Somethimes gardeners find that a "perfect spot" from an a artistic perspective offers only rock-hard soil or a permanent bed of weeds.
In the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-9; Mark 4:1-12; Luke 8:4-8) Jesus contrasts unproductive ground with good soil. If the soil is too hard, the seed will not penetrate and can be stolen by birds. If the soil is too rocky, the roots will groe quickly but end up being shallow. If the seed falls among thorns or weeds, the plants wiill be choked.
Jesus did not intend this parable to be a lesson on farming. Rather, he described the Word of God sowninto human hearts. In light of that, consider your own life. What might be preventing the seed of God's Word from fully taking root in you? Is anuthing stealing you jouor keeping you from grasping "the breadth, and length, and depth, and height" of the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:18)?
Take heart, for preparing the soil is not up to you; it's to the gardner. God, the Master Gardner, has turned the soil of your heart over and removed the rocks and weeds of sin through the death and resurrection of his very own Son, Jesus Christ. The "living water" of the Holy Spirt (John 7:37-39) will penetrate deeply and will fully circulate. And if the rocks and thorns reappear, our Gardener patiently removes them, again and again, forgiving our sins at the cross of Jesus and gining us a fresh start, with mercies new every morning.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, do your holy work in me. May I soak in the full measure of the Spirit as your Word touches my heart. May the world see Jesus in me! Amen.

This Is The Day
Day 1
This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. -Psalm 118:24 NKJV
_________________________________________________________________
Are you basically a thankful person? Do you appreciate the stuff you've got and the life that you're privileged to live? You most certainly should be thankful. After all, when you stop and think about it, God had given you more blessings than you can count. So the question of the day is this: will you slow down long enough to thank you Heavenly Father...or not? (feel free to answer in your comment)
Sometimes, life here on earth can be complicated, demanding, and frustrating. When the demands of life leave you rushing from place to place with scarcely your Creator for the countless blessings He has given you. Failing to thank God is understandable...but it's wrong.
God's Word makes it clear: a wise heart is a thankful heart. Period. Your Heavenly Farther has blessed you beyond measure, and you owe Him everything, including your thanks. God is always listening-are you willing to say thanks? (you can also answer this question in your comment) It's up to you, and the next move is yours.

Blessed: A Choice Location
Day 1- "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. -Psalm 139:14
__________________________________________________________________
"Bloom where you are planted." This well-know saying often evokes smiles and creates hope, the hope of making a difference. But it can also evoke a bit of cynicism. We may wonder, "What if we're planted in the wrong places?" Gardens that flourish enjoy just the right location, a location chosen so that whatever is planted can bloom to its full potential.
Selecting the perfect location for your garden requires intentional planning and research. You want it close enough to your house so that you can tend to it faithfully. (Keep in mind another mush-used saying, "Out of sight, out of mind!") You may ask yourself , "Will it be easy to water if I put it here?" and, "Is that spot too shady or too sunny?"
Gardeners also need to know what types of plants will grow and flourish in a particular kind of soil and in their specific climate. Imagine what would happen if you tried to plant the bougainvillea you saw on you vacation to Mexico in your own backyard in Minnesota!
Even before God created the Garden of Eden , he had each of us in mind. He made the entire universe-his garden-with each of us specifically in his thoughts and on his heart. God knew precisely what mix of talents and gifts he would blend together so that you would bloom in a way different from anyone else. God knew what nurturing you would require, what weeding you would be necessary, and what pruning would make it possible for you to branch out to your full potential. Your Lord made you to be beautiful, precious, and cherished. No one else can fill your place in his garden.
Today's verse gives you only a brief glimpse of this truth; psalm 139 paints it much more fully. Sometimes today you may want to read the entire psalm. Take each verse, word by word.
Consider: God, who knows your every thought, word, and deed, is also the Master Gardener who planted you where you are today. He has chosen just the right spot, and he is anxious to see you bloom, reflecting the love he so graciously bestows upon you.
Prayer: Lord, you are awesome in wonder! Help me bloom where you have planted me! Amen
